Latest Updates from VMCO Facebook

Over 35 Veteran oriented people and members attended the VMCO General Meeting Thursday, March 21. Electronic presentations were shared from the VA Health Center in Fayetteville in reference to changes that are being made in Health Care.

What a treat everyone had when the Quilts of Honor ladies previewed three quilts that are hand made by their all-volunteer women’s group. These quilts are distributed completely free of charge to Veterans as a tribute which recognizes their service, dedication, and sacrifices made on behalf of our country. If you know of a Veteran that you would like to nominate for a Quilt of Honor please contact Janie Mahon, treasure, at (417) 230-2839.

The keynote speaker was Desiree Wardell, from Visiting Angels, Living Assistance Services. She brought along Nate, the owner of Visiting Angels, and Chris Huelat, Director from the Springfield office. Desiree shared just some of their essential care services that include their one-on-one care that provide a wide range of assistance, including meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, and help with daily hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. They can also offer assistance with transportation, walking, mobility and reminders for important social events and appointments. The benefits of hiring a home care provider range far beyond these practical services, though, offering you or your loved one companionship and conversation in addition to practical help around the house. About Veterans & Military Coalition of the Ozarks

Comprised of 100% Volunteers that have a passion to help Veterans

Our Mission

The Veterans and Military Coalition of the Ozarks (VMCO) (hereinafter referred to as the “Coalition”) promotes communication and coordination between all recognized veterans and military organizations.  As of 2022 to present VMCO has worked with veterans in 42 states and 3 countries (Japan, Philippians, and Guam) thanks to the age of electronics. The Coalition’s objective is that affiliated Veteran and Military Service Organizations working together on issues of  mutual agreement, can harness the grassroots support of local veteran/military constituents and families to accomplish far more than by working on these initiatives as separate organizations. The Coalition maintains communication with all Coalition organizations to provide a unity of effort and keeping all informed of local, state and federal legislation, programs and initiatives affecting veterans, military members and families; thereby, achieving common goals and maximizing positive impacts. The Veterans and Military Coalition of the Ozarks is a nonprofit, tax exempt organization qualifying under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our Goals

The Veterans and Military Coalition of the Ozarks (VMCO) is a group of similarly minded veterans and military service organizations in joint pursuit of the following goals: Ensuring that veterans, military service members and their families can access the full range of benefits and services available to them.
